Social Sciences & Humanities Social science is a major category of academic disciplines, concerned with society and the relationships among individuals within a society. It in turn has many branches, each of which is considered a social "science". The social sciences include, but are not limited to, economics, political science, human geography, demography, management, psychology, sociology, anthropology, archaeology, jurisprudence, history, and linguistics. Humanities are academic disciplines that study aspects of human society and culture. In the renaissance, the term contrasted with divinity and referred to what is now called classics, the main area of secular study in universities at the time. Today, the humanities are more frequently contrasted with natural, and sometimes social, sciences as well as professional training. The humanities include ancient and modern languages, literature, philosophy, geography, history, religion, art and musicology. Articles are welcome in the mode of an original research, review article, case report, short communication, perspective, mini review and commentaries. Approval of at least two independent reviewers along with editor approval is essential for acceptance of any submitted manuscript. |
